Heat Recovery Innovations is excited to announce the receipt of a new high
temperature plate-fin heat exchanger order for a solid oxide electrolyzer cell
system (SOEC). Solid oxide electrolyzer cells (SOECs) are solid oxide fuel cells
(SOFCs) running in reverse. SOECs perform high-temperature electrolysis (HTE) of
water to produce oxygen and pure hydrogen gas from energy sources. The custom designed HRI heat exchangers will be integrated into the customer’s SOEC system to recover high temperature energy, insuring peak system efficiency and performance. SOEC systems will support customers with cost effective, localized hydrogen production to reduce their carbon footprint. HRI is proud to provide a critical, enabling component of the SOEC system that we believe will be a major winner in the transition to zero-carbon, distributed and baseload power solutions to the global C&I market. Heat Recovery Innovations (HRI) is a global leader in high-temperature and high-pressure heat recovery technologies that address some of the world’s most critical challenges around energy efficiency. HRI provides a collaborative, custom approach from demonstration and commercial adoption, enabling peak operating efficiencies and paths towards lower-cost solutions alongside the scaling of production.
